Designed by Vivian Sogl for ASA Selection, Nesuto is a porcelain tableware series of plates, bowls, and cups defined by round and comfortable shapes.

The name ‘nesuto’ translates to ‘nest’ in Japanese.

The round shapes of this porcelain lined with soft and Japanese-looking glazes are intended to be reminiscent of a nest that gives warmth and security.

This harmonious design vocabulary links all the plates, bowls, and cups.

For its inspired design, Nesuto has recently been awarded a 2022 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

Stone-like glazes that are velvety to the touch decorate the set.The two decoration names of the collection support the associations with Japan.

The greenish glaze bears the decoration name ‘bonsai’, a Japanese garden art.

The bluish glaze was given the name of the mountain ‘fuji’, the highest mountain in Japan.

An almost stone-like glaze, but velvety-soft to the touch completes the tableware and tea series.

Inspired by Japanese fast pace and slowness at the same time, Nesuto becomes a companion for quiet moments in hectic everyday life.

An iconic combination of Far Eastern tradition and modern porcelain design.

ASA Selection is focused on a consequent philosophy of "simple shapes and colors."

The collections distinguish themselves by being unconventional.
